Easter Trip

Went down to Bunbury for 3 days 2 nights, stayed in the lighthouse hotel as recommended by a friend. This was the view we had from our room!

lighthouse hotel view

From the other side of the city up on the hill this is what you can see!

bunbury panoramic view

Bunbury sure has nice views, with its trademark Bunbury Tower (the biggest tower in Bunbury) From the picture, it looks like they are building another tower just as big as the Bunbury Tower.

Jowy and I did a day trip to Dardanup and to Ferguson Valley. We saw a whole bunch of random things (gnomesvilles, wellington mills, some weird French restaurant etc.) we also got lost through Ferguson Valley and ended up not far from Collie.

Carlaminda Resturant

This is Jowy attempting to eat a tree inside the weird French restaurant, everything they sold was COLD, and they had an eco-friendly toilet.

Back in Bunbury, there was the Dolphin Discovery Centre, Mangroves Boardwalk and a whole bunch of other stuff which we checked out. Had a few detours on the way back to Perth which took us off-course by quite a bit, luckily I knew a thing or two about navigating using the Sun (it was better than an outdated country road map).

Anyways, all in all we had a great break!

Relativity – (High Velocity = Youth)

Very interesting! (especially @ 5:20)
People moving at a higher velocity technically live longer relative to people who are not moving. This means that if you are not taking action you are literally being left behind and eventually die off.

XL Life Membership

On the 19th March 2007 I officially became an XL Life Member. I figured, if I am going to do this seriously, I will need a network of people to bounce ideas back and forth. The Life Membership allows me to go to all seminars, coaching, events etc. at no further charge. (mind you the Life Membership wasn’t cheap!!! $US10,200) Maybe I am insane…

Part of the ‘package’ I get to do a Wealth Profiling test and also get a book called Wink. (Its a little bit ‘corny’, but the book is DAMN GOOD) If you want to find out more of the other resources they sell check out their Online Store. (Go download ”Your Life, Your Legacy – sample eguide” from the Online Store for FREE! Its worth the read)

You will also get to check out some of the events I will be attending during this year:

  • The Wealth Dynamic Weekend
  • Entrepreneur Business School in Bali

Life Mebers also get unlimited Life & Wealth Coaching Weekend and lifetime subscription to the XL Magazine. Lets see where this XL Life Membership takes me!

Introduction

I have decided after reading many books and attending many seminars to take massive action! All the books and speakers end up saying the same thing:
“Do today what others don’t to get tomorrow what others won’t” – Johnny Wimbrey
“What your mind can conceive, your mind can achieve” – Napoleon Hill
“Your work is to discover your world and the with all your heart give yourself to it” – Buddha
“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment” – Buddha
“The path to success is to take massive, determined action” – Anthony Robbins
“Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow” – Robert Kiyosaki

Its clear that these people must know something that we ‘average’ people don’t know… Seems like they get over their past and just throw themselves into the current moment (literally carpe diem)

I’ve decided to work on this goal for the rest of 2007 and this blog will track the ‘crazy’ things I will be embarking on. I will be giving myself with all my heart to this goal. Hope to see you on the otherside!

Easter Friday

Nothing much happening today spent most of the early morning looking for a theme for this site.

Update (OXR, MSFT, QCOM)

Hi All,

Moving my previous trading diary @ xanga to my official Trading Diary!
Just an update on my current position, I’ve been trying to open a few positions this week before the Easter break unsuccessfully. Been looking at WPL, CSR, TAH.

I opened my first CFD position yesterday! I have also officially became an international investor
MSFT: Opened @ 28.442 with stop @ 26.6
MSFT is currently forming a xyz formation, no breakout yet, however I entered in anticipation (also not good!)

QCOM: Opened @ 43.707 with stop @ 41.362
QCOM is currently forming an ascending triangle with a triple top formation (I have no idea why I entered before the breakout, damn emotions – do not trade like me)

This is what happens if you are not discipline, if I get punished I truly deserve it. This is my first time trading CFD and its definitely much more to do with ‘timing’ then just opening a spread. My current thinking for the above two position is to hold the stock and watch the equity grow. Technically, both the stock are about to move in a direct with great momentum – i’m just not sure which way, but its not important.

My current spread postions
OXR (3/2.75): its had 2 great days of trading and it looks like its going to be a good month for OXR. Position is very safe

Here is a list of good brokers that I know of:
Full Service Brokers

Online Brokers

Personally, I use Tricom for my full service broker. I also have a Halifax account open, which I get lots of recommendation. In addition to this I also have access to Kinetics Securities recommendations which are quite helpful. If you are trading the US market, I highly recommend optionsXpress! its so damn good!

I must be share junkie, cause I also have an optionsXpress, comsec and sanford account too.

I especially like how the recommendation is structured from Kinetics Securities, Halifax & Tricom have great recommendations too, just that it looks better in Kinetics.

Selling LOTS OF Insurance On Shares

An Alternative Strategy To Protect Yourself From Downside Risk And Reduce The Amount Of Money Required To Start

  • What If You Want To Generate CashFlow And Be Protected From Market Events Such As September 11, Tech Bubble Burst, Asian Crisis, Share Market Crash etc.
  • What If You Do Not Have A Lot Of Money To Buy Shares To Rent Out OR Do Not Have A Lot Of Money To Promise To Buy Somebody’s Shares
  • Finance Gurus Call This Strategy “ Spreads“, This Section Will Go Through An Example Of “Bull Put Spread” – Bull Means We Expect The Share Market Going Up
  • You Make Money Because You Made A Promise To Somebody That You Will Buy Their Shares If They Ask You To Buy It From Them (You Receive A Small Fee For Your Promise) At The Same Time You Insure Yourself Buy Buying A Put (You Pay A Small Fee For Somebody’s Promise) – Chances Are You Will Keep The Promise Fee If The Market Is Flat/Raising OR You Buy Their Shares From Them At An Agreed Price (You Still Keep The Fee!!!)
  • The The Downside Risk Is The Difference Between The Promise You Made And The Promise You Bought
  • Cash Requirement: You Only Need To Have The Maximum Possible Loss That Can Occur If The Market Turns BAD

Spread Example

  • Say Share XYZ Is $10 Today
  • You Promise To Buy XYZ For $9.50 – Your Receive $0.40
  • You Buy A Promise From Somebody Who Promises To Buy XYZ For $8.50 – You Pay Them $0.10
  • Your Net Transaction Is $0.30 Cash In Your Bank Account
  • Say, If XYZ Is More Than $9.50, Nobody Would Want You To Buy Their Shares For $9.50 Because They Can Get Somebody Else To Buy It For More. In Addition, You Will Not Use The Promise You Purchased For The Same Reason – End Of The Day You Get $0.30 For Making A Promise
  • Say, If XYZ Drops To $1.00 Because Something Bad Happened In The Market, You Will Have To Fulfil Your Promise And Buy XYZ For $9.50 Then You Use Your Insurance Policy And Sell It Back To Somebody Else For $8.50 Instead Of $1.00 (Current Market Price) – End Of The Day You Lose $1.00 Minus Your The $0.30 In Your Bank Account You Already Received

Educate Yourself On How To Do It Right

  • Where Do I Start? – Free eBook
  • The Home Study Also Teaches You How To Set Up Tax Effective Company And Trust Structure To Protect Your Assets And Pay Less Tax
  • Master The Stock Market (A MUST For All New Stock Market Investor) – Zero To Hero

This is the strategy that I personally trade. Its one of my favourite strategy, however I am currently looking into CFD to accumulate assets and also covered calls (share renting) for alternative cashflow strategy.
